Sam is a childhood friend of Dave. They both lived in Ghana 20 years ago when they attended the same university. Sam stayed in Ghana, got married to a lovely nurse and they have 3 children. Dave, on the other hand, moved to the USA to pursue his master’s degree. He settled in the USA and now is a Citizen of the USA.

Sam wants to visit Dave in the USA. This is the invitation letter that Dave writes to Sam. I hope it inspires you to write yours.

Dear Sam,

I am so excited to know, that you and your family would be coming to visit us in the USA this year. Please take this as a formal invitation for your visa applications for you and your lovely family. It would be such a joy to finally meet your children and reconnect with you and your wife.

As agreed, you can come to New York on the 6th of June, 2020 and leave on the 26th of June, 2020.

While you are in New York, you would stay in our home at 345 Lington Avenue, Queens, NY. We would also be responsible for your movement within the country. I hope to take you to the Capital City in Washington and a few other tourist sites in New York, such as the statue of liberty, Central Park and the Rockefeller Center.

I have attached a copy biodata page of my passport to this letter.

Thanks

Format of the Letter

In general, I try to fit the invitation into one page. If however, there are more than 5 people being invited, it may be quite challenging to fit the content unto one page. I usually put the guests’ information into columns using Microsoft word.
