Invitation Letter for US Visa to Parents during Pregnancy with samples

Are you pregnant and you want your mom or both parents to be with you during delivery or after the delivery? If you are in the USA, and your mom is in another country then you have to do a little more than just calling her. You will need to send her an invitation letter for a visa. In this article, I have provided 2 samples of Invitation Letter for US Visa to Parents during Pregnancy and some tips that will help you with writing your invitation letter for visa.

Quick tips about inviting your parents for a visit during Pregnancy or after delivery

  1. Start the process early if you want your mother to be there during the delivery. The visa process can take up to 2-3 months in some countries.
  2. Do not write in the letter that your mom is going to take care of the baby when you go back to work. By saying this, the visa officer will assume that your mom will be taking away a job from a US citizen or resident. They may also say she is working illegally.
  3. Simply state that you want her to be with you during this time and to help you.
  4. If you don’t know where to start, start by using this US Visa Wizard

Where do you send the Letter of Invitation?

You should send the letter to your parents even though the letter is addressed to the Visa Officer. You can also address the letter to your parents. Both styles are acceptable. I have more samples of invitation letter for US visa here.
